Inner Growth Word of The Day 310 – Definite

November 6

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Definite

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. having distinct or certain limits.  2 a. free of all ambiguity, uncertainty, or obscurity.  2 b. unquestionable, decided.

Definite in a sentence: When something is definite, there’s typically no wiggle room to sway you to go in a different direction.

Definite in action: A sure decision, belief, or thought; that is definite.

Definite and inner growth: Exploring what is definite to you gets you to look at and break down what your different truths are; and when this happens, inner growth takes place because you dive in to understanding those things, which also means they could change as you uncover the truth behind them.

Definite and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What does definite mean to me? How has a definite thought affected a conversation?  When does something definite stop me from moving forward?  How have I learned more about life thanks to my definite notions?  Why are some things definite and others not?  When was the first time I thought about what definite meant to me?  How have definite conversations affected my relationships?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with definite at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. From this list pick three words and next to each write one definite thing that comes to mind to you alongside each word.  Then pick one of the three words and definite

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about something definite and pay attention to the first thought that crosses your mind. Now as you hone in on your feelings, notice where they first start and then how they move along.  Visualize a smooth river as you do this and that the emotions that are coming are flowing down the river calmly.
