Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. lasting or enduring through all time.  2 a1. continuing for a long time or indefinitely.

Everlasting in a sentence: When something is everlasting, you feel it as a part of you and your day at all times.

Everlasting in action: A thought or feeling that stays in time or a situation that lasts indefinitely; that is everlasting.

Everlasting and inner growth: When you take note of the things that are everlasting for you, from feelings to thoughts to situations to people; you can pursue inner growth because this attention gives you awareness of (and therefore the opportunity to explore) how you recognize those everlasting things, how they impact you and your life, as well as how you react/feel in the absence of them.

Everlasting and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What is everlasting to me? How does something everlasting impact my life?  When was the first time I defined something as everlasting?  What do I think about the concept of everlasting life?  What are some takeaways from everlasting moments or feelings I’ve experienced?  What’s one feeling and thought that I’ve recognized as everlasting ever since childhood?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with everlasting at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. From this list think of the feeling you have for one of the everlasting thoughts that has made the biggest impact in your life.  Write about this everlasting thought and how it has affected your life by using the words from your list.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about something everlasting in your life and notice how your feelings change depending on what you think about. Take note of where the emotions stem, how they flow, and where they settle more at first.  For each thought write these things down and then compare them to each other to see what you notice as commonalities or differences.  Then sit for five minutes in silence with just the feeling of everlasting in its essence. When you’re done, note the differences and similarities between the essence of everlasting feelings versus the something/specific events everlasting feelings that you felt.
