Inner Growth Word of The Day 127 – Harmony

May 7

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Harmony

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 3 a. pleasing arrangement of parts.  3 b. agreement, accord.  3 c. internal calm.

Harmony in a sentence: Harmony is pleasant both in sound and when felt within as it is a flowing arrangement of tunes and feelings.

Harmony in action: When you make a decision and feel in accord and calm within, you are in harmony.

Harmony and inner growth: Harmony and inner growth go hand in hand because as you look to whether or not you are in harmony within (with the choices you make in life, with your thoughts, with your surroundings, everything that is part of your life and you) you pursue inner growth choices to achieve harmony where you find discord.

Harmony and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What does feeling harmony look like to me? When was the first time I felt harmony?  How has harmony changed my life?  How has harmony affected my relationships?  What does harmony help me see in life?  How have I applied harmony in my actions?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with harmony at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. Now think of the first time you felt harmony within and use the words from your list to describe the feeling and what that day was like and anything else you want to put on paper about that day.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about harmony and allow them to take over your body. With a silent mind and your emotions heightened bring your attention to your heart and still without thoughts bring those feelings about harmony to your heart.  Now allow thoughts to come in and focus on the very first thing that came to mind.  Allow the feelings from this moment to speak to you and when you’re ready you can move on to another thought and do the same for as long as you’d like.
