Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Why Practice Is Important For Inner Growth
Some say practice makes perfect, others say perfect practice makes perfect; either way, when you put something to practice, you make it a habit, you learn it, it becomes a part of your routine and person. The same goes for an inner growth journey and mindset.
If you want to pursue inner growth to the extent of its potential to unlock your potential, this means taking the time to bring awareness to you, your within (inner core), and contemplating things from that place with the belief that you can do this, that you want inner growth for you because you choose so. While the beginning of the journey is a bit of a challenge, the more you practice inner growth from your heart (inner core, the essence of you, your inner voice), the more you trust your heart and therefore believe you can achieve growth for you, for your potential, from the depths of you with full trust in you.
Here are some ways to practice inner growth for your chosen heart-felt journey.
- Make it a habit throughout the day to bring awareness to moments of tension, frustration, joy, and other emotional moments that take place. For each moment write one or two sentences about where these emotions stem from (what is bringing them about). For anything that keeps you from achieving your most in the moment, choose one thing you’re going to do to transform it from within and release the limit.
- At the end of the year think back to one or two events that brought you to think about inner growth and a way to do something differently than what you were used to. Write one word that describes the type of expansion of the essence of you that took place thanks to this choice you made from within.
- Once a month take one feeling that dominated the month and describe it with words that relate to the events, people, circumstances, and other things that come to mind when you think of that feeling. Anything that throws you off (drains you) is something you want to explore from the heart and decide one way you’re going to try to stop it from throwing you off in the moment (do this until you find the way that works).
