Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Transforming The Child In You Through Inner Growth
Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊
When it comes to transforming the child in you through inner growth, it’s all about letting go of those things that hold you back, not of the child in you that keeps you in a learning, loving, and open mindset towards life and others.
The innocence of a child that comes from their unconditional love and love for knowledge, as well as learning is all that favors inner growth. It is the fears and insecurities that keep children back, but that when found and worked through, when explored with love and curiosity, can be overcome and transformed. This is the type of transformation that takes place when you look to your inner child with inner growth in the forefront.
Here are some ways to transform the parts of the child within that hold fear, insecurities or hurts (all of which inner growth helps you work through from a place of love, neutrality, and unlimited potential).
- Any time you notice you are allowing something to stop you from doing more (whether it’s a project or a personal life situation/decision), take a look within and find out what child fear, insecurity or hurt is holding you back. Once you uncover this, decide on two ways you would help a child to overcome this ‘block’ and apply them to your situation.
- Make a list of all the child characteristics that you are aware of that keep coming back into your life due to the pain they brought you growing up. One by one, go through your list (at your own pace) and share a loving thought. Then bring that loving thought forth every time that child hurt characteristic presents itself again in your life (day-to-day, over time, until you resolve the hurt completely).
- Once a year take a look back to see what you learned most from transforming the child in you through inner growth. Write about two to three unique things that came up during your transformation and inner growth efforts. Keep what you write about (if you write it down) or keep in mind what you look back on so that you can use your experience to help you when something comes up again that you know is holding you back.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
