Inner Growth Thought of the Day: The Importance Of Inner Growth In Communication

Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

The importance of inner growth in communication is something you discover in time; and as it becomes more present in your awareness (in the moment), you learn to use it in a way that benefits your personal growth, as well as the growth of your relationships (both personal and professional).

The different aspects you pick up on with consciousness of you in communication thanks to an inner growth approach allows you to spot your inner core’s messages, the feelings that accompany those messages, and the external in a way that doesn’t overwhelm you, but that instead gives you information to work with and better communicate (for yourself and others).

Here are some ways to apply inner growth in communication so that you can always make the most of any situation where you are communicating.

  1. Make it a habit to pay attention to the things you’re doing when you communicate with others. If you spot something that stops you from staying open and in a learning mindset, counteract that moment with a silent mental pause, and with awareness tune in completely to who is talking to you or to whatever you are listening to so that you may be completely receptive to the message.

  1. Any time you feel not listened to when communicating, write about three things that stood out from the experience. Then decide on one way you’re going to try and communicate how you feel with the person and/or people who you don’t feel are listening to you.

  1. Once a year take a look back at all the times you applied inner growth in communication and write about two to five things you learned in the process. Share details on how these things help you in your communication efforts already and what major impacts they’ve made on your inner growth journey.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
