Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Staying Centered In Moments Of Frustration
Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊
Staying centered in moments of frustration benefits you from a clarity standpoint, as well as an emotional and physiological perspective. This gives you the ability to stay at your best and handle any situation with the utmost care.
Your inner growth journey helps you to achieve centeredness by bringing you to explore within in those moments of frustration. As you explore what’s going on inside of you, you uncover the things you can work on and then you consciously test different ways to overcome the feeling of frustration so that it doesn’t take over.
Here are some ways to stay centered in moments of frustration through an inner growth approach.
- When you notice you’re getting frustrated about something or with someone make a mental note or write out three things that stand out the most about what is leading you to this feeling.
- Every end of the year think of two to three important moments where you were able to stay centered in moments of frustration. Write about what helped you stay centered and use those aids in the new year when you become aware of getting frustrated about something or someone.
- Define frustration and anything that causes turmoil within and next to your definition write an opposite definition of what keeps you centered with that same situation. These definitions should come handy in moments where you are looking for ways to find/regain your center in a moment of frustration or turmoil (unsteadiness, chaos, etc.).
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
