Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Letting Go Of External Pressures While Coexisting With A Society
Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊
There are plenty of external pressures to daily life and choices we make, while pursuing inner growth you become aware of these as well as the need to coexist with them being that you are part of a society.
As you learn to let go of external pressures in that they don’t have to define you, you pursue inner growth by learning about what you believe related to these pressures and what you want to transform as it causes you to be less than what you know you can aspire to be in your day-to-day.
Here are some ways inner growth can help you let go of external pressures while coexisting with a society.
- Any time you notice yourself getting anxious or preoccupied with a decision you are considering, a situation or thought, write down two to three things that are causing this feeling. Next to each of the things you list, visualize lifting the pressure (those anxious and worried feelings), while asking yourself how a feeling flow can help you instead.
- Write down two to three things you define about yourself based on societal labels. Look to your heart and redefine those things according to what feels more in tune with you while accepting that those societal labels exist, but don’t have to define you.
- At the end of a year make a mental note of all the external pressures you were able to lift and transform. Write about what stands out the most from this process and how your inner core helped you find the way.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
