Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Learning To Trust Your Heart In Any Circumstance

Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

Learning to trust your heart is an amazing experience that fills your life with a sense of tranquility in knowing that you know even though you may not know exactly what’s unfolding.

As you pursue inner growth you learn to understand your heart’s messages, you learn to trust in you and life; and you become empowered in every moment or any interaction you come across.  The journey to this trust goes as far as you’re willing to look within, learn, and stay open to learning.

Here are some ways to integrate an inner growth approach to life events and pursue learning to trust your heart.

  1. When you’re torn in how to approach a situation that holds many variables and many unknowns take five minutes to sit in silence and focus on the feelings that arise from your heart. Don’t give shape to anything, just feel the emotions and put them in two piles: Pile 1) flow, trust, synergy, feels true and Pile 2) doubt, fear, uncertainty, doesn’t feel right or feels like something is missing. Then next to each pile put down the thoughts you had as you felt those feelings regarding the variables and unknowns of the situation. Use this information to make a decision on your next steps.

  1. Once a year evaluate the different circumstances where you allowed your heart to lead and where you didn’t allow it to lead and make a list of two to three things you learned about you and how you affected the circumstances.

  1. Make it a weekly habit to list two to three ways your heart (inner knowing) made itself heard about a person or situation. As you write down these ways, put next to them what actions you took and how your personal perspective and opinions influenced those heart-felt (inner knowing) messages.  Notice what stands out about these variables and find how you can put aside anything that influences the message of your heart (inner-knowing), which leads you astray from what it’s telling you in its purest form.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
