Inner Growth Thought of the Day: No Regrets
All moments in life have value and add to your person from within and throughout your lifetime. This is one of the reasons why a ‘no regrets’ mindset is what follows some of life’s past events. At the same time, there are those times where regrets occupy your thoughts, in that you wish things could’ve been different or that you would’ve done something different.
Thanks to inner growth, you realize regrets don’t stand up much seeing as your “self” from back then was not your “self” of today and therefore could not have known any better or been who you are now after all those past experiences. This type of exploration brings you to lean more towards no regrets, seeing as you learn about you and replace self-judgement with acceptance.
Here are some ways to explore regrets or no regrets from a place of inner growth and pursuit for your higher potential.
- When you think of something you regret write about the event and your state of mind and being at the time.
- In no regret situations pay close attention to the feelings that arise from the heart and if you notice any ‘holding on’ feelings, explore what they are linked to that you are trying to let go of.
- Once a year make a list of anything you have no regrets over and why that is, and anything you have regrets over and why that is. Compare your lists of no regrets and regrets, and see if you spot similarities or common themes between them.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
