Inner Growth Thought of the Day: People Can Get To You & Remove Your Focus If You Let Them
As you go about your life, you encounter many situations and people that can get to you and in doing so that focus of where you want to be or what you want to do can be disrupted. However, you’re focus depends on you and so in these moments you can look inward and keep that focus or allow the external to distract you.
The journey of your life and turning inward, to your inner core, depends on your trust in you, the belief in inner growth and achieving the potential you feel you can reach (and believe you can obtain). As you pursue inner growth and this learning mindset, you are able to learn from the situations and people that can get to you thanks to keeping your focus on your heart and chosen path.
Here are some ways to apply inner growth to situations and people that can “get to you”.
- Think of at least one thing that always works to keep your focus on trust in you and your inner core and when you are in a situation where you notice something or someone that is getting to you, bring this one thing to your mind and heart.
- Revisit the situations that distracted you from your inner growth path throughout the week and explore each situation to identify what you can try next time to keep yourself from getting distracted from your chosen path.
- When frustration creeps in and you notice yourself pointing fingers at situations or people for something that is going on in your life, choose what you are going to do in that moment to bring about a different outcome.
