Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Stopping Self-Sabotage Through Inner Growth
Self-sabotage is one of those things we most often do unconsciously, without full awareness. As you gain awareness through inner growth, you are able to stop this pattern of unconscious actions, thoughts, and/or feelings.
As you gain knowledge and understanding of those deeper inner-self layers, your findings are accompanied by ideas of how you can stop yourself from repeating unwanted patterns since you are in that inner growth mindset, which gets you to be open to different solutions that work with you from the core.
Here are some ways you can stop self-sabotage through inner growth.
- Write about any self-sabotage actions or choices you took in the past. Pay attention to repeat patterns in those times as you reread what you wrote. This will get you to learn to identify your cues to self-sabotage, which will bring awareness in the moment enabling you to stop self-sabotage in its tracks.
- Make a list of three to five things that you consider self-sabotage to a person’s happiness. Next think to you and identify if you’ve ever done or thought any of the things you listed. Remember not to judge yourself, it’s not about right or wrong, it’s about getting to know you to find your solutions to self-sabotage.
- Once a year ask yourself to honestly answer if you’ve done anything self-sabotaging for fear of the outcome, results, how a situation would’ve played out, and so on. Next ask yourself if you have changed your mind about that thing and would like to pursue it once more or if you happy from the core (your heart) with your choice. Based on your answer you’ll know what’s next.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
