Inner Growth Thought of the Day: What Traits & Habits Do You Reinforce?
Reinforcement of traits and habits is something each one of us has the power to steer.
When you gain consciousness of your role in choosing what to reinforce, you learn things about you that you may not have been aware of; and thanks to your inner growth journey, you ask the questions that will lead you to reinforce things in sync with the direction you want to take within.
Here are some ways to reinforce traits and habits that lead to inner growth, harmony, and balance.
- List five things you always tell yourself about your behavioral traits. How do these five things lead you to where you want to be with inner peace? Based on your answers, you may need to write next to each five things how you will change them from now on so that they become reinforcements of inner peace.
- When you talk to others about you, be conscious of what words you use to describe yourself. Anything that stands out you want to explore and understand why you’re using that word. Then you also want to choose a different word that you will use from now on instead of that word.
- Make note of how those around you reinforce traits and habits that you are looking to let go of and for each person decide how you want to tune out their reinforcement in a way that is helpful to you (to your inner growth and peace) and in a way that can help them understand how you feel about this (so that maybe they can eventually stop the habit).
