Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Breaking Habits That Bring You Down
Breaking habits that bring you down takes a little work, but thanks to looking within when on an inner growth journey, you are able to identify components to your habits that then enables you to resolve those habits in a way that no longer holds you back.
Through being conscious of the habits you want to break in the moment (the ones you feel limit your potential), you get the opportunity to learn more about you (the depths of your inner self) and those limiting habits. With this knowledge you take ownership of the habit and choose if you want to or how you will remove those limits.
Here are some ways to help you break habits that bring you down while pursuing inner growth.
- At the end of each day evaluate what habits took place. For any habit that you find brings you down you want to decide how you’re going to be conscious of it in the moment.
- Once you’re able to be conscious of your habits in the moment, you want to decide on what ways work for you to break that habit. Make a list of three to five ways you’re going to actively transform your habit to one that doesn’t hold you back or bring you down.
- Make a complete list of the habits you feel bring you down and hold you back. Next to each one, write down how it limits you, where the limit comes from, and how you can dissolve it based on your belief of your potential.
