Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Reaching Out & Asking For Help

Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

There are a number of dynamics and emotions involved when reaching out and/or asking for help.

When you pursue inner growth, these situations turn around in your favor by getting you to explore yourself and find balance between those expectations and incompatibilities that sometimes arise.

Here are some ways to gain inner balance so that you may keep reaching out and asking for help in a way that gets you to inspire more and grow as a person.

  1. Every time you reach out and/or ask for help make a note of the emotions that you feel. Explore them in-depth and ask questions that help you understand the source and reason for those emotions.

  1. Make a list of five situations where you reached out to someone and/or asked for help. Write about one thing that you learned about yourself when looking back at these five situations. Use these lessons to help you moving forward when you reach out and/or ask for help again.

  1. Once a year take a look at how you help those who reach out and/or ask for help. Do you find you offer the ‘help attributes’ you would like to see in others when you reach out and/or ask for help?  Where there are inconsistencies take the time to reflect upon them (you want to understand why you have different expectations from others when you reach out and/or ask for help than what you offer others when the tables are turned).

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
