Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Staying Optimistic
Staying optimistic doesn’t always come easy, but as you pursue inner growth and put trust in life’s experiences this reality changes.
Optimism comes from within, from your heart and your beliefs; and as you uncover these, you also face them in how you want to move forward and/or what changes you want to see.
Here are some ways to integrate staying optimistic in your inner growth journey.
- Make a list of different ways optimism plays a role in your life. Next to each item listed, put if optimism is a constant or not.
- Write about when you don’t feel optimistic. What thoughts go through your mind, why you are not optimistic, and so on. When you reread what you wrote, think of at least one belief you hold about life that gives you optimism and counteracts the non-optimistic feeling.
- Name three to five pros of staying optimistic and keep those pros handy for when you are faced with a challenge related to optimism in the moment.
