What do you think?

Personally, I feel that knowing one’s self and managing circumstances to the best of our ability is the only way individuals can find peace.  The only thing we can control in life is how we react, respond and confront the situations we personally face. Unfortunately, circumstances are not dictated by us, nor can we foresee them (at least for sure not 100% of the time).

  1. Hi maria I agree that knowing ones self is crucial here. It is also worth considering that metaphysically, our energy field (or rather, the quality of the energy we give off) has a direct impact on our circumstances in that we attract most of what occurs depending on where we’re at on the inside. So for example, when stressed to the max I was once told by a great teacher… ‘life is not busy, the busy-ness is in you’. So I’ve come to realise that the more we can access that still point which resides in each of us, and we can mindfully stay in the present moment and enter that in us which is below the chaos of our thoughts and emotions, then this ‘peace’ ripples out into everything we do and experience. The energy that we give off when we do so has a wholly different impact and everything changes about how we start to experience our world.
Plus they say that this is the only way to truly know our ‘self’ as that still point is who we really are.

    1. Thank you for sharing Stephen! Some really great and true points. I’d love to have you participate, if you’d like, in my Google+ group and/or LinkedIn group. It’s always nice to have additional points of view and experiences on topics such as these. I think everyone can appreciate and be uplifted by an exchange on topics that deal with life (love, struggles, and existence) 🙂
