Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Overcoming Inclinations That Take Away From You
The inclinations that take away from us involve various scenarios, situations and/or moments; but the common denominator in all of these involve something that contrasts or conflicts (if you will) with you (what you want, expect, see, think is right or wrong, and so on). As you pursue inner growth, as a way to reach your highest potential, your mindset also inclines towards making a switch from one of conflict inclinations to inner growth ones.
This switch in mindset gets you to pursue transforming inclinations that take away from you, into ones that allow you to gain knowledge in the moment, be consciously grateful for the life experience you’re living, and be in the best place for you from the core; all of this while learning about you, your inner core and what choices you can make in the moment to bring about the best outcome.
Here are some ways to overcome inclinations that take away from you and bring them to add to you and your inner growth journey instead.
- Every day take five minutes to notice how you reacted and thought about situations that took place throughout the day. List how many times your inclination went towards a lack of versus an abundance and appreciation of. From the list notice how your inclination for the day affected you and write about at least one to three ways it did in detail.
- Once a year take a look back at your biggest accomplish and pay attention to the feelings that arise with these moments. List two to five words that describe the feelings you have about your accomplishments and if there’s anything that seems to be holding you back, explore why and what you’re going to do about this feeling to release the limits it’s bringing to you.
- Every time you notice in consciousness that your inclination is taking away from you, understand why you’re feeling that way and find one way you’re going to switch that situation to one of gratitude for the experience and learning that is taking place thanks to your inner growth exploration.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
