Inner Growth Word of The Day 324 – Jeopardy

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Jeopardy

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 1. exposure to or imminence of death, loss, or injury.

Jeopardy in a sentence: When something you care about is in jeopardy your actions determine what comes next.

Jeopardy in action: Any imminent danger to something or someone is jeopardy in action.

Jeopardy and inner growth: When you explore your feelings and actions when something or someone you care about is in jeopardy, you gain inner growth because you uncover deep truths about what you’ll do to save what you care about and you’ll also get to face if you don’t want to do something about it why that is.

Jeopardy and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What do I consider being in jeopardy? When was the first time I thought about being in jeopardy?  When did I experience something I cared about being in jeopardy?  How have I learned about life from dealing with situations where my goals were in jeopardy?  What do I do when jeopardy is at my door?  How do I feel about having to deal with situations that are in jeopardy?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with jeopardy at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Think of one instance in life where you felt in jeopardy and write about it using the words from your list.  When you’re done, notice what stands out the most to you about how you wrote out what happened.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about being in jeopardy and allow them to flow, noticing how they flow and if it is an uneven flow. As you visualize those emotions in motion, also visualize a calm stream that moves in any direction you wish it to move and send the feelings you are feeling down the stream.  Notice how your emotions change and what that does to your thoughts on (the topic of) being in jeopardy.
