Inner Growth Word of the Day: Option
Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 1. an act of choosing. 2 a. the power or right to choose. 3. something that may be chosen.
Option in a sentence: When evaluating an option, what makes it stand out the most is what you want to explore first.
Option in action: When you have a choice that is having an option.
Option and inner growth: A closer look at the options you consider when making certain types of decisions can bring about inner growth as you explore the depths of how you consider options and why they are actually choices that you bring into the equation in the first place.
Option and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: What do I consider a valid option? How have the options I consider affected my results? When did I first evaluate multiple options for a very important decision? How has evaluating options affected my life? What have options given to my relationships? Why are options valuable to my inner growth?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with option at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. From this list think of three options that made a huge impact on your life and write about each using some of the words from your list.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about having options and how they’ve changed your life. As you sit and pay attention to where your emotions stem from and how they navigate throughout your body, pay close attention to the thoughts that come to mind and how they play a role in the feelings you’re experiencing in that moment. Do you notice any patterns or trends in feelings and options you get to choose from?
