Inner Growth Word of the Day: Transformation

 

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) a complete or major change in someone’s or something’s appearance, form, etc.

 

Transformation in a sentence: Transformation happens every day as life experiences take place and you react, reflect, and uncover more about yourself and the world you want to create and contribute to through every choice and decision you make.

 

Transformation in action: When a personality trait goes through change or if something changes how it looks by adding other attributes to it, that is transformation.

 

Transformation and inner growth: When you look at transformation it is very much connected to the inner growth that you pursue.  Transformation happens on every level of all the things that are a part of you and that which is around you.  As you contemplate what areas you can easily identify that have transformed, also look at those that seem to be static and dive in to see if that’s actually the case and if so why or what else do these areas say to you.

 

Transformation and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What do I think about transformation? How has transformation changed my life?  When did I first notice transformation around me?  Are change and transformation different to me or are they similar?  Why?  Who has influenced my transformation?  Why is transformation important to me?  What have I learned about myself through transformation?  How has transformation affected my relationships?

 

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with transformation at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. From this list pick three words that bring about a strong emotional response.  Write about why they make you feel that way and what transformational event they remind you of to bring about such a reaction/response.

 

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about transformation and allow those feelings to flow. As you do this notice if they settle in specific areas of your body or if they freely flow.  Visualize a place where you see transformation happen daily and notice how that affects your feelings.  When you’re ready think of an important transformational time for your life and see what your feelings have to say about how you lived that experience from an emotional perspective.
