Job in a sentence: Your job is a part of your daily life, but it doesn’t define you.

Job in action: Something that you do as a profession or a role within a company is a job.

Job and inner growth: Exploring the way you feel about your job and what lead you up to it gives you insights into the things you enjoy doing and can help you uncover the things you enjoy doing if you’re not happy with the job you have now.  This deep dive brings about inner growth through the awareness of the things you enjoy and by allowing you through awareness to take actions that can lead you towards a job that brings you joy.

Job and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What do I think about my job? How has my job affected my life?  Have I always had the same job?  What have I learned about myself thanks to the job I do?  How has my job affected my relationships?  Why does my job affect me?  What would I like from my job that I don’t have right now?  With the job I have today, how do I see myself ten years from now?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with job at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. From this list pick one word that expresses exactly how you feel about your job.  Use the rest of the words from your list to write about this feeling.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about job and allow your emotions to freely flow. Notice where those emotions start and where they go.  As you notice the flow of your feelings, redirect them to evenly distribute across your entire body and when you’re ready let thoughts come in.  Notice what the first thought that crosses your mind is and which of these thoughts provokes the strongest feelings within you.
